During this remodel, CSD came in to update this 1980’s home with the latest technology to match its new modern look. A home theater was added in the basement along with extra speakers and flat panel TV in the adjoining Gym. In the future, the 70″ Theater TV will be upgraded to a Projector and 120″ Screen.
Upstairs, 16 speakers were installed throughout all the newly remodeled areas of the home controlled by custom programmed color touch screen wall panels. The equipment in this family room was several years old and needed a major upgrade. This brand new apartment needed a quick sound and video upgrade. CSD Installed Klipsch Reference Series II in-wall speakers, a 65″ Sony 4K Ultra HD TV, Yamaha Receiver and 10″ Polk Audio subwoofer.
All work and no play makes me a dull boy. This off-topic project is a custom designed & built DJ booth that houses two Pioneer CDJ800’s, a 4 channel mixer, Jamo THX speakers, an Adcom 300 watt amplifier and even a full desktop computer running Serato scratch live. Once it’s hooked into the CSD Mega Theater’s 2000 watt audio system and 200″ projection system (Scaled up to 250 inches), you’ve got one heck of a party.
This booth is mostly constructed from a pile of parts from Ikea including a table top, bookshelf, casters, 4 sets of table legs, a shelf, and a random trim piece I found on clearance. To that I added a sheet of 1/8″ Lexan (frosted with 80 grit sandpaper), aluminum angle trim, custom CDJ stands, and 17″ of color changing LEDs.
Mike had this great looking cabinetry designed around 3 of Klipsch’s Reference II center speakers and a giant 80″ LED TV from Sharp. Two more Reference II Surround speakers are in the corners of the room and a 12″ Klipsch subwoofer is tucked neatly inside the cabinet. Also hidden behind those doors are a Pioneer Receiver & Blu-Ray player, Comcast cable box, Nintendo Wii and an Xbox Kinect. This system has clean and simple looks and amazing performance!
This is completely off topic but totally cool. For halloween this year, I decided to build a custom Mau5head. Built from random parts from places like Petsmart, Home Depot, Radio Shack, JoAnn, and even Bed Bath & Beyond. The end result is a halloween costume that drew tons of attention from everybody!
The Flip Men are at it again. This time CSD was asked to add TVs throughout the home. Also, they added an amazing deck with a great view of the salt lake valley. This thing is perfect for partying so they added a hot tub and CSD installed 4 outdoor speakers to provide the soundtrack, controlled via a wireless iPod dock.

These guys built a great big room in their new basement for their home theater. CSD Audio provided the great big movie screen, a 123″, to go with it. 3 Polk Audio front speakers, 4 surround speakers and a CSD exclusive custom designed subwoofer along with nearly 2,000 watts of amplifier power provides great big sound.
The room was built with a special alcove in the wall for the subwoofer, so the massive bass could be heard but not seen.

Reid was looking for the best sound he could find for his new basement theater. After listening to dozens of different brands and models he fell in love with the sound of these Klipsch THX Ultra II in wall speakers and just had to have them. CSD Installed Two of the KL-7800 in walls, A KL-7502 center channel and two KS-7502 surround speakers in the ceiling. A Klipsch 10″ subwoofer was installed in a cubby below the 70″ flat panel LED TV.
This system will be used as much for music as movies and with the 8″ woofers crisp highs of these Klipsch Tractrix® horns, this system really rocks!
Spike TV’s new reality TV show, “Flip Men,” is filmed right here in Utah. On their season finale, Mike & Doug purchase a 14,000 sq ft mansion in Holladay. This house received a total makeover, including a CSD Home Theater & Sports Bar.

A theater on the main floor was the control center of the home. Audio from the Pioneer Elite receiver was fed throughout the home including in-ceiling speakers located in the great room, kitchen, dance studio, indoor basketball court & out by the newly restored pool. 7 channel surround sound with 4 12″ in wall subwoofers provides the sound track to the blu ray playing on the 120″ screen.
Downstairs, we designed this Sports Bar to be the party center of the home. 3 Panasonic Plasma HDTVs (a 60 inch and two 50’s) were mounted side by side on the wall to make sure the guests in the home never miss a second of their favorite teams’ game!
Ron wanted to build a great multipurpose room when finishing off his basement, but didn’t want the look of a full-time, dedicated theater. We installed a 103″ Motorized screen that automatically raises and lowers when the Projector turns off or on. The equipment was also hidden in his custom cabinetry to keep it out of view. This gives great flexibility to the space where he can relax and read a book by the fire, or, with one push of a button, can be immersed in his favorite movie, playstation game, or TV show with 7.1 channels of surround sound!
This beautiful South Jordan home came pre-wired for sound and television throughout the entire home as well as a dedicated Home Theater room in the basement. A Mitsubishi 55″ LED TV was mounted above the fireplace along with several other flat panels in several rooms of the home. 24 in-ceiling speakers were installed throughout the home and are controlled by keypads with LCD screens in each of the rooms. Downstairs in the theater, we used a 106″ fixed wall screen and a Knoll projector. Signal comes via a Pioneer Blu-Ray player and 7.1 channel receiver that upscales all sources such as Wii or Xbox360 to full HD. Jamo on-wall speakers supply the mid & high frequencies in the room and a Velodyne 12″ subwoofer provides impactful bass.
ASWN Architects needed a high quality HD screen to showcase their portfolio for potential clients. We selected this 60″ Samsung for its great looks as well as incredible picture. The screen has a very clean look to it and is only just over 1″ thick. It was a perfect fit! We also added a wireless keyboard and mouse to control the system from the rear of the room.
Jeff had a small, odd shaped room in his basement that was used to store his junk. He decided it was time to make some better use of the space and we designed an amazing home theater system to repurpose the space. The equipment for the theater was housed in an adjoining room so we selected a universal touch screen remote with RF expansion pack for easy control. A Pioneer receiver, Toshiba Blu-Ray player were placed in an equipment rack along with satellite tv tuner. Polk speakers were mounted on the wall and a 12″ subwoofer for low frequency effects. Two levels of reclining theater seating allow a great view of the 103″ screen for everyone in the room. This formally unused space is now everyone’s favorite room in the home!
We designed a great multi-use room in this Park City home. A retractable screen was framed in over the windows so the room could be naturally lit during the day, but could be converted into a great performing home theater on demand.
